Pimlico sits within the City of Westminster. Buyers have a wealth of options when it comes to property, from flats in stucco terraced properties to ex-local authority apartment blocks by the River Thames.
Pimlico sprang to life in 1825, when master builder Thomas Cubitt was contracted to design and plan the layout of its residential streets. Pimlico was developed by Cubitt as a grid comprising rows of white stucco terraced properties. These streets are now preserved as part of the Pimlico Conservation Area.
This central London neighbourhood is very well-connected – Pimlico is on the Victoria Line, while nearby Victoria Station offers fast links to Gatwick Airport, the Victoria Line, District and Circle Lines. It is the perfect place for families and young professionals alike.
Pimlico is also noted for its garden squares, which are reminiscent of the kind found in nearby Belgravia. There are many famous landmarks nearby, just outside the Pimlico boundary, which includes Tate Britain.
