Housing values in SW1 area are most valuable in UK

Housing values in the SW1 area, which takes in Pimlico, Westminster and Belgravia, are the most valuable in the capital, new research reveals.

This research from Zoopla looks at the total value of housing in each of the UK’s ten largest cities and the most valuable area for housing within those cities.

According to the findings, the total value of London’s housing stock dwarfs the value of housing in all the other cities on the list put together. This news is perhaps not surprising.

The most valuable area for housing within each of these cities is also revealed, and for London that is the SW1 area.

London SW1 boasts housing values of £54.57 billion in total.

The findings also reveal that, as of January 2018, the total value of housing in London stands at £1.506 trillion. This compares with the city of Bristol, which ranks second on the list for the total value of its housing after London. In Bristol, the total value of housing is £115.21 billion.

London is streets ahead of any other UK city when it comes to the value of its residential property.

However, the research from Zoopla includes details of the yearly percentage growth in the value of housing, and London’s growth is slower than that of all the other cities on the list.
