The Borough of Westminster’s Eaton Square has been named the most expensive street in England and Wales.
Located in London’s sought-after Belgravia district, the average property price is listed as being over £16 million, according to research from Lloyds Bank.
Eaton Square and the wider Belgravia area has long been a magnet for international buyers in particular, fueled by its reputation as one of the world’s most prestigious addresses.
Other locations on the list include nearby Grosvenor Crescent, and Chester Square, all of which are in the London Borough of Westminster. Streets within the London Borough of Kensington and Chelsea also dominate the list.
Outside of the capital, streets in Leatherhead and Weybridge, both in Surrey, have multiple streets which make the list. But one of the most revealing findings is that every region across England and Wales now has at least one street comprising million pound properties.
The results of this research are hardly surprising, however. Eaton Square, one of three picturesque garden squares built by the Grosvenor family, is renowned for its appealing white-washed, stucco façade and elegant architectural proportions.
