Pimlico is located within London’s SW1 area and in the City of Westminster. The area was laid out in the first half of the 19th century by master builder and planner, Thomas Cubitt, and a stature of Cubitt now stands on the corner of Denbigh Street and St George’s Drive. Pimlico is characterised by its garden squares, white stucco terraces, and Regency Architecture, and yet remains more affordable than nearby Belgravia.
From right-to-buy flats by the river Thames to apartments in some of Pimlico’s period properties, there is much on offer in terms of property.
Pimlico is surrounded by Belgravia to the north, the River Thames to the south, Westminster to the east, and Chelsea to the west. It boasts good transport connections. Victoria Station is nearby, offering connections to the Victoria, District, and Circle Lines, while Pimlico is on the Victoria Line, offering fast links to King’s Cross, Vauxhall, and Green Park.
Tate Britain and Westminster Cathedral are located just outside the Pimlico boundary, while Westminster Abbey and the Palace of Westminster are also nearby.
