How to download a PDF from the new 2020 EPC Register website

The old epcregister.co.uk website offered a simple way to download a copy of the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) certificates to PDF.

The new https://find-energy-certificate.digital.communities.gov.uk/ website doesn’t offer the same ‘click to download’ button, it is still quite a simple process to download a copy of the new EPC. Learn more about the new 2020 EPC Certificate and Register website here.

The process differs depending on which web browser you are using. Below are the download methods for Windows and Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox. The steps are outlined below.

Step 1: Search the site and browse through to the certificate you wish to download

Step 2: Click on the option to ‘Print this certificate’ located near the top of the page, under the blue certificate summary. This will bring up a print window.

The third step varies depending on your browser Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox:

Step 3A: For Google Chrome

The following print dialogue window will appear:

Use the ‘Destination’ drop-down menu to the top-right and select ‘Save as PDF’.

You can then select the location and filename you wish to save the PDF with:

Click ‘Save’ to save the PDF.

Step 3B: For Microsoft Edge

The following print dialogue window will appear:

Use the ‘Printer’ drop-down menu to the top-left and select ‘Save as PDF’

Then select ‘Save’ to the bottom-left. You can then select the location and filename you wish to save the PDF with:

Click ‘Save’ to save the PDF.

Step 3C: For Mozilla Firefox

The following print dialogue window will appear:

Select ‘Microsoft Print to PDF’ from the ‘Select Printer’ section of the print window and press ‘Print’

You then get the ‘Save Print Output As’ window, where you can select the location and file name of the PDF. Once you have found the correct folder and input the file name, press the ‘Save’ button to save the PDF.

Click ‘Save’ to save the PDF.
